SASS has beaten four other agencies including Golley Slater and Brahm to pick up a brand communications brief to launch the latest innovation to the UK education market from Promethean - the global leader in ICT and interactive learning technologies.
Promethean, whose products are used by over three million pupils across seventy countries, has appointed the brand communications agency, whose education experience spans accounts such as Hope Education, Galt Educational, NES Arnold, Davies Sport, Education Business Solutions and the Darwen Aldridge Community Academy, to support the launch of its Activclassroom concept in the UK.
SASS has been tasked with introducing the concept, which represents Promethean’s suite of interactive and interchangeable learning solutions and products, to teachers and academics across the UK and supporting a series of exhibitions and events, including its presence at BETT 2009.
The agency, which has worked with Promethean since 2005, has been working with its UK and European marketing team to devise a communications strategy that introduces Activclassroom into the vernacular of the teaching profession, building awareness and understanding, while also driving footfall to its website and increasing product demand via a series of promotional offers.
SASS’ campaign sees four of the agency’s six centres of excellence working together, across Digital, Advertising, Direct and PR, and will utilise a number of communication channels including online content and advertorials, direct mail, email, e-PR, Bluetooth targeting and offline print ads.
The highlight of the SASS campaign will be an online 3D interactive product explorer which will allow teachers and key decision makers to immerse themselves in an Activclassroom environment so that they can explore the concept and individual products in further depth. The agency is also implementing a series of internal communications initiatives to launch the concept and details of its marketing support to both staff and product resellers.
Ian Waddington, Client Services Director at SASS, comments: “Promethean is a truly global brand, and so to be able to work with them to establish their Activclassroom concept in the UK and Europe is a great opportunity for SASS, and one which fully utilises the specialist brand communications expertise from our six Centres of Excellence.”
Karen Shakleton, UK and Europe Marketing Manager at Promethean adds: “The launch of Activclassroom is massive for Promethean as it is the first concept of its kind and clearly sets us apart from our competition. To communicate this, we need an integrated agency that not only fully understands our business but also has extensive experience in product launches and the education sector. SASS fits the bill perfectly, and having worked with the team on a number of launches in the past we have always been impressed with the final outcomes.”
SASS has six key centres of excellence offering a multi-discipline, brand team approach to channel-neutral thinking with specialists in Advertising, Digital, PR, Media, Design and Direct.
